This workshop will help you train yourself to reach deep inside your creative self and produce characters outside your personal comfort zone and life experience. Through explorations of genre, archetypes and theatricality, you'll learn methods for pushing past the safe, stereotypical character choices and into a far more interesting spectrum of fully-realized ones.

Splendid Things brings together three of the Twin Cities’ top improvisers to create comedy with emotional intensity, intelligence and a distinctively theatrical style. They mix grounded, naturalistic scenework with dark absurdism for an improv show that manages to be sober and ridiculous at once.
